We specialize in the manufacturing of wooden doors and windows, and we are fortunate enough to work for some of the finest properties in Normandy, either scrupulously respecting the Norman style or adding a touch of modernity. Our expertise is not limited to these projects: we also create staircases, interior woodwork, parquet flooring and furniture, and we’re always open to requests for original creations. Finally, thanks to the expertise of Ambroisine de Sigy, who heads up our design office, we can offer you a comprehensive complete interior design service combining creativity and functionality to transform your living spaces into unique and personalized spaces, perfectly suited to your needs and tastes.

Our history
From the Michaut family …
Vincent Michaut set up his eponymous company in 2001 after a number of successful experiences in joinery. His taste for challenges and well done job has driven him to take on ever greater challenges. ‘Every time someone told me it was impossible, I did it out by spirit of contradiction”: this motivation drives him to develop unique processes for certain pieces, but also to rehabilitate the old and traditional know-how by making models as solid as they are elegant, that very few manufacturers were capable of making.
Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength, and the whole family has joined. Delphine has run the business with her husband since the very beginning, their son Yann joined them over 12 years ago and is responsible for programming and machining, and Mégane has been in charge of customer relations for the last 2 years.
… to Bruno Morel and Ambroisine de Sigy
In 2024, Vincent Michaut passed on his business to Bruno Morel and Ambroisine de Sigy, who decided to rename the company ‘Atelier Michaut’ to perpetuate the heritage and expertise of its founder and his family.
After a career in international trade for a number of luxury brands, Bruno Morel returned to his love of craftsmanship and trained as a joiner with the Compagnons du Devoir. He is now at the head of the Atelier Michaut.
Ambroisine de Sigy, who trained at Penninghen and Camondo, worked for more than 10 years alongside Christian Liaigre and also had her own interior design studio. Her invaluable experience has been put to good use in developing the Atelier’s new design and innovation department.
Together, they are breathing new life into the Atelier Michaut, affirming its top-of-the-range positioning between tradition and innovation, while opening up the Atelier to new markets combining wood, art and innovation.

Our team is made up of qualified joiners, experts in bespoke manufacturing, supported by an innovative innovative design office and a dedicated sales and administrative department. Together, we provide complete, personalised support for your project, from design to completion, including management and customer service. We are all driven by a passion for wood and a job well done and we make it a point of honour to make your satisfaction our priority.
